    • Our school is amazing. It is like one big family. Teachers and students are friendly.
    • Lots of students are very talented.
    • Some of them do sports, some are into Estonian, Russian and other national dancing, some are into singing or painting.
  • We are from Estonia
    • On the first of September 1979 our school was opened.
    • Now it is called Lasnamäe Gümnaasium. In 1979 722 pupils started studying at our school. Nowadays it is about 1000 students in it. Every year some of  our students graduate high school with gold and silver medals.
  • “ Vivat”
    • Vivat is the choreographical studio of historyc dances. We learn not only how to dance, but also we learn how to act, to communicate, to flirt with people, as it was centuries ago.
    • We perform on balls, school celebrations and different parties.
    • The instructor of our studio is Svetlana Nikolaevna Brusnigina. She is professional which knows how that art is made. She is very talented teacher with great experience of working in this area of art. She started dancing in her childhood and became a teacher when she was only 17 years old.
    • Our main slogan is: “Vivat! Vivat! Vivat! Love rules”
    • We love our school and think, that it is the greatest in the world.

      • Most of you have heard about strange northern people Estonians who come together every five years, sing ecstatically for a day or two, even cry a little, and then go back home. We call it with a strange name LAULUPIDU or in English - song celebration or song festival. But it is not just another festival. It is rather one’s inner need, a way of living and bandage between generations. Estonia and Song Celebration – these two belong together like Norway and skiing, Russia and bears or England and the Oxford-Cambridge boat race.
      • Today Estonian Nationwide Song and Dance Celebration is a part of UNESCO Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
    • If we talk about Estonian Youth Song Celebration, then we are talking about:
    • *Toddler’s choirs (age 6-10) 1 grups 1 *Children’s choirs and boys’ choirs (age 11-15) *Youth choirs (age 16-25) - youth mixed choirs - youth male choirs - youth female choirs *Youth string orchestras, symphony orchestras, wind orchestras and folk instrumental ensembles.
    • How does it work?
    • Song Celebration preparing time for a choir is approximately one year. It starts with learning the music, and then there is a period of pre-rehearsals where all choirs from one region come together and rehearse under conducting of the festival’s chief conductors. During
  • About 100 students from our school have participated in national Song and Dance Festival. We have been preparing for it for 2 years. Moreover, the performers have made their folk-national costumes themselves.
