Loneliness • “You don’t have the opportunity to have intellectual conversations all the time.” • “The people you work with, you don’t have shared experiences with.” • “You’re not surrounded by people as often.” • “You feel disconnected from people … you feel socially further away.” • “There isn’t as much emotional support in your endeavors.”
  • 4. Knowledge Gaps • “The things you learn in school don’t necessarily apply to your job, like handling money, customer service, work-force relationships.” • “Sometimes you may be smarter than your co- workers but have less experience but you still have to respect them.”
  • 5. Finances • “You’re making food for yourself more often.” • “You take full responsibility for your space.” • “You’re completely financially liable.” • “In the real world, financial offices aren’t as lenient.”
  • 6. Schedule • “You wake up, you come home, and you’re exhausted [after work]. But with school, your schedule is always changing.” • ‘[From working] you feel exhausted after work and you don’t have the cognitive energy to make yourself productive.”

  • 8. • Join outside groups/clubs • Seek enjoyment from close family/friends • Get into a routine
