    • Pärnu highway is former Ioannovskaja street.
    • Pärnu highway is named in honour of city of Pärnu (Estonia).

    • The corner-stone of the church was laid on 8 September 1862. Jaan being an Estonian modification of the name of St. John the Evangelist .

    • The Scandic Palace Hotel Tallinn is built in 1937 and reconstructed in 1988 .

    • The English college is a Former Female Commercial School (architect E.Jakobi, 1916) .

  • 10. The Estonian Drama Theat re
    • It was constructed according to the project of architects from Saint Petersburg N. Vasil'ev and A.Bubyr'. In 1910 there was the German Theatre, nowdays there is the Estonian Drama Theatre .
  • 11. Opera Theat re and concert-hall “Estonia”
    • Opera Theatre and concert hall "Estonia", which was built in 1913 according to the project of Finnish architects A.Lindgren and V.Lenn.

    • In 1912 Revel bank was built according to the project of Finnish architect E.Saarinen. The author created an internal 3 level courtyard. The wide front staircase leads to the top level.
    • Presently on the first floor there is a book shop "National book", a drugstore and other shops.
