  2. 2. Cuba is an island located in the Caribbean Sea, just at the entrance tothe Gulf of Mexico and next to the Atlantic Ocean. The Cubas locationis between 19 and 24 degrees of latitudeto the north of Ecuador, andlongitudes among 74 and 85 degrees to the west of Greenwich.
  3. 3. Cuba is surrounded by the Bahamas on the North, Haiti on the East,Mexico to the West and Jamaica and the Cayman Island on the South.The highest point in Cuba is the Pico Turquino, a Sierra Maestrasmountain, at 1 974 meters height.
  4. 4. The population of Cuba is 11 200 000 and its densityis 102 people per Km².
