410 Blackwater 410 Blackwater Presentation Transcript

    • PR Opinions on Erik Prince Blackwater and the Iraq War
    • Prince Addressing Criticism
      • Prince addressed his criticism with poise and confidence
      • While talking about background checks and what could’ve went wrong, he was certain he had done everything correctly
      • I feel as though he answered precisely and with confidence in tough criticism
      • Prince turned the negative comments into a positive light for Blackwater; while talking about his contractors and if they were correct for the job is one example
      • While talking about the incident where Blackwater’s employees shot innocent civilians, he answered honestly with concerns to his contractors safety first in a war zone
    • Tactic Suggestions
      • I think Prince should be honest and address the problems with his employees
      • We are in Iraq to help the nation and keep ours safe, and he needs to address that he is working toward the same goal
      • Blackwater should make sure they remain on the same page as the government and not change the plans the minute contractors are in trouble because when that happens, the goals of being there are thrown out the window
      • Prince and his company need to stay on task as well as be safe
    • Relations to PR models
      • Prince is using the two-way symmetric model because he is trying to gain mutual understanding. Risk management is involved in this and uses evaluative and formulative methods to approach the problem
    • Thank you!
