    • introduction Mozart was born in Austria in 1756, and he died in Viena, in 1791. He was a musical prodigy, he composed over 600 pieces of music.
    • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) Mozart was born into a musical family inAustria. His father Leopold was a profesionalmusician, and his sister, five years older than him, played the clavichord (an instrument similar to the piano)He was invited to play music to the King and Queen of France, and then the King and Queen of England.Mozart died of acute rheumatic fever in Viena.
    • HISTORICAL EVENTS 1762-1773: Years of travelHe traveled to Paris, Munich and London. 1773-1777: The Salzburg courtMozart was employed as court musician. 1777-1778: The Paris journeyMozart resigned his Salzburg position. 1781: Departure to ViennaMozart was summoned to Viena.
