  2. 2. Wish you were here in London! Hello friend! I am in England for the 2012 London Olympics! In the first picture I am hanging out near the stadium waiting for the events to begin! Below that photo is the London Olympics icon! The Summer Olympics only happen once every four years! I really want to see all of the athletes compete and hopefully the United States will earn many gold medals! I will write you back after the games to let you know how it went. The only time I have seen the Olympics before was on T.V. and it was amazing! I can only imagine how spectacular the event will be when I am in the stadium!   3. 3. Hello from Honolulu! I am in Honolulu, Hawaii! Honolulu is a terrific place to stay because there are many activities! Here, you can windsurf, stay in a hotel on the beach, go scuba diving, snorkel, and have a fun day making sandcastles with the pure and white sand! The water is clear and clean, and there aren’t any shortages of beautiful sights! There are mountains and beaches, you can get the best of both!   5. 5. Here in Gallipoli, Turkey you can be greatly educated and yetcaptivated by this historical site. During World War One, Britainlaunched a major campaign to try to capture the GallipoliPeninsula from the Turks. Gallipoli was a heavily guarded area andthe British failed. Today, you can still see some of these forts atGallipoli! There are also many monuments dedicated to the fallensoldiers people who lived there. On your next trip, considercoming to Gallipoli. One ofthe best is the Mayan pyramids wherethe Mayan people worshipped theirgods! You can also check out the SunStone which served as the Mayancalendar and was based off ofastronomy. I learned about theMayan people in sixth grade and Ifound the unit very interesting. Iwould love to see the informationfirst hand!   8. 8. Welcome to the White House I am here at the White House in Washington D.C. in Virginia. The White House is where the president of the United States lives and works. Many times did famous people come to the White House to negotiate, such as Winston Churchill when trying to persuade President Franklin D. Roosevelt to be allies in WWII. The White House not only was a house, but where people chose decisions that would be America’s fate. Many times war choices were made in the house. Here, you can take a tour of the national icon and learn all about the house. The White House is surrounded by beautiful vegetation and an amazing city. Busch Gardens isa great place to be! The Europeanatmosphere is fun and friendly andthere are many different foods totry. There are many different kindsof rides and you can easily spendseveral days there! My personalfavorite is Apollo’s Chariot!
