  • 1. Youth sub-cultures
  • 2. Placebo
    • I think that with the influences that Placebo and especially the lead signer Brian Molko have on our artists looks, it will be a good band to base some of our ideas on as it will appeal to our artist and to his fans. In this particular video I think we can take inspiration from as I like the idea of using live performances mixed in with shots of narrative in the video, the original and rather strange narrative parts to the song I think we can use in our video to make it original and different as it will appeal to more people.
  • 3. Madonna
    • Our artist has told us that Madonna is one of his biggest influences in his work. He especially highlighted the fact that he wanted our video for him to look in terms of narrative. In this video there is a lot of isolation around the artist with wind effects and dark clothing on the coast with a bleak and desolate background. This gothic look to the artist and the video I think would appeal to our artist and his fans. In our video we could take this idea and expand on it having the artist on the beach isolated as it gives an emotive visual to the song we are using.
