  • 1. Kazan.
  • 2. Kazan – is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. One of the largest economic, political, scientific, cultural and sports centers in Russia. The Kazan Kremlin is one of UNESCO World Heritage site. The city has registered the brand "the third capital of Russia
  • 3. Kurbun-bairam is one of the most important holidays for the Muslims .The word «Kurban» means «a sacrifice»,and the word «bairam» is translated as «a holiday».The holiday proceeded a 30-day fast.
  • 4. History. Long, long ago there lived a man, Abraham by name. He and his wife were childless. Abraham prayed god for a child and one day Sarah gave a birth to a son. The parents loved him greatly. But when their son grew up, god asked Abraham sacrificed his son to him. Abraham and Sarah were in despair, but they decided to fulfill god’s will. Abraham took his son to the mountains where he was going to kill his son. But as soon as he raised his knife to cut the Son’s throat, the Angel seized Abraham’s hand and told him that god believed him and allowed to sacrifice a sheep instead of his son.

  • 6. Muslims begin their celebrations early in the morning when all of them visit mosques to pray, Then men go to the cemetery to pray for the dead. After that ,a sheep sacrifice follows, when the meat of the sacrifice animal is donated to the relative neighbors , especially to the poor and the sick. Visiting the relatives is one of the more specific feature of the holiday, when national food is eaten by numerous guests.
  • 7. Uraza-bairam Uraza-bairam is the second holiday of a year which follows after a 30-day fast. The fast and the holiday were established many centuries ago to commemorate the month when the great Prophet Mukhammed god god’s blessings to spread a new religion all over the world. a true Muslim has a good chance to sacrifice his sin during the fast.
