    • School Test Teaches Kids: “Commands Of Government Officials Must Be Obeyed By All” Steve Watson Infowars.com Oct 29, 2013 Papers produced by global education corporation; Part of ‘No Child Left Behind’ program A parent of a ten year old was shocked to discover a grammar and writing test paper that their child brought home from school reads more like document from an authoritarian country such as China. The parent sent a portion of the test paper to Infowars, revealing that it contains sentences such as “The commands of government officials must be obeyed by all.” The paper uses such sentences and asks school children to replace certain words in order to make the sentence contain a possessive noun. Others within the paper include: “The job of a president is not easy.” “He makes sure the laws of the country are fair” “The wants of an individual are less important than the needs of a nation” Here is the portion of the paper Infowars received:
    • Upon further investigation it appears that the paper is part of a set produced by Pearson Education, a global corporation that provides education publishing and assessment services to schools in the US and the rest of the world. Pearson is the world’s largest for-profit education business. The particular sentence about everyone obeying government commands appears in other Pearson papers, such as this fifth grade grammar test. According to the company’s Wikipedia page and its website, Pearson owns leading educational media brands including Addison–Wesley, BBC Active, Bug Club, eCollege, Fronter, Longman, MyEnglishLab, Penguin Readers, Prentice Hall, Poptropica and Financial Times Press. Pearson is part of Pearson PLC, which also owns Penguin Books and the Financial Times. In 2010, Pearson also negotiated a 5 year, $32 million, contract with the New York State Department of Education to design tests for students in grades 4-8. Some have criticized the company’s test papers. Last year papers designed for NYSED were found to contain over 30 errors. Writing for the New York Times, Gail Collins noted: “We have turned school testing into a huge corporate profit center, led by Pearson, for whom $32 million is actually pretty small potatoes. Pearson has a five-year testing contract with Texas that’s costing the state taxpayers nearly half-a-billion dollars.” Collins outlines the fact that Pearson is being contracted under the controversial No Child Left Behind program set up by the government in 2001: “This is the part of education reform nobody told you about. You heard about accountability, and choice, and innovation. But when No Child Left Behind was passed 11 years ago, do you recall anybody mentioning that it would provide monster profits for the private business sector?” Collins continues: “[Pearson's] lobbyists include the guy who served as the top White House liaison with Congress on drafting the No Child law. It has its own nonprofit foundation that sends state education commissioners on free trips overseas to contemplate school reform.” Ah… all becomes clear. Government contracted education papers telling children that they must obey the commands of the government. Nice. Along with enforcing government mandated rules such as banning packed lunches, this will be seen by many as yet another example of how the nanny state is encroaching via the public education system. It’s a concept also being promoted by the mass media. Earlier this year, MSNBC ran a segment pushing the notion that kids belong to the “collective,” and that the “idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families” should be eliminated. MSNBC Host Melissa Harris-Perry » All Your Kids Belong To Us VIDEO BELOW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3qtpdSQox0 These revelations also remind one of Common Core, federally mandated education principles, which are effectively dumbing down students by standardizing education across the board and shutting out diversity in teaching.
    • The United Nations To Take Over The Alamo Kit Daniels Infowars.com October 29, 2013 UN flag may fly above shrine of liberty if designated as a World Heritage Site San Antonio, Texas Mayor Julián Castro is currently negotiating with the United Nations to designate the Alamo as a UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site, meaning that a blue UN flag may fly above the historic shrine of liberty once it falls under UN control. UNESCO, a specialized agency within the UN, created the World Heritage Site status out of a 1972 international agreement, which calls for nations to join together to manage historical sites through “collective assistance.” “San Antonio has the opportunity for its five Spanish Colonial Missions [including the Alamo] to be nominated to be the first UNESCO World Heritage site in the State of Texas and the 22nd World Heritage designation in the United States,” the October 2013 City of San Antonio newsletter reads. The Alamo consists of both the Alamo chapel and the surrounding compound now referred to as the Alamo Plaza. The Alamo chapel, which is what people tend to picture when they hear the name “Alamo,” is managed by the Texas General Land Office and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. The Alamo Plaza, where most of the fighting took place during the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, is administered by the City of San Antonio. During the battle, at least 189 Alamo defenders sacrificed their lives for liberty instead of surrendering to the tyrannical Mexican president Antonio López de Santa Anna. The Alamo emerged from the battle as a sacred shrine for individual freedom in the face of collective evil. Now the shrine is besieged by the collective UN, whose policies follow Santa Ana’s dictatorial rule rather than the values the Alamo defenders died for “in the name of Liberty, of patriotism and
    • everything dear to the American character” as Alamo Commander William B. Travis wrote in Feb. 1836. How exactly would UN management affect the Alamo? In 2002, the UNESCO World Heritage Center published a manual entitled “Managing Tourism at World Heritage Sites,” which outlines UN obligations that the historic site managers are expected to follow. The manual states that it is “the duty of the international community as a whole to cooperate” in managing World Heritage Sites, meaning that bureaucrats from China or France could oversee and influence the Alamo’s operation. One of the “protection obligations” of a World Heritage Site is the requirement to “use the World Heritage logo,” meaning that the Alamo Plaza would be adorned with UN symbols. A UN flag may even be hoisted above the Alamo, which is typical at World Heritage Sites such as the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Illinois. America Destroyed by Design FLASH BACK VIDEO BELOW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsKVyhuBf3c The manual also suggests strategies for restricting public access to heritage sites due to “environmental concerns” under the guise of “sustainable” tourism, borrowing key words from Agenda 21. Some may say that if the Alamo is designated a World Heritage Site, which is expected by 2015, the UN wouldn’t necessarily control it because the Alamo would “remain” under sovereign jurisdiction. Yet as we constantly see with Agenda 21, local city governments adopt policies “recommended” by the UN as if they were law. The UN’s pressure has already been felt in San Antonio after the city nixed a proposed downtown hotel tower because it would have jeopardized the Alamo’s World Heritage status. Other downtown businesses may suffer worse fates because, under the terms of the World Heritage Convention, governments are expected to protect heritage sites beyond their borders, infringing upon private property in the process. In 1995, for example, then President Bill Clinton asked the UN to declare Yellowstone Park in Wyoming a “World Heritage Site in Danger,” giving him the “international obligation” to shut down a private mine three miles away from the park, even though the mine predated the park by 150 years. Sovereign jurisdiction means little when governments and the UN are completely interconnected. So once again, 177 years after the historic battle for liberty, the Alamo is under siege. • Government May Stop Spying On World Leaders But Not You Kurt Nimmo Infowars.com October 29, 2013 Sen. Feinstein opposed to practice of snooping on leaders short of emergency decree by government On Monday, the Obama administration said it will “review” the NSA practice of spying on friendly world leaders following outrage from Germany and other nations over the practice. According to the Associated Press, Obama has yet to make a final decision, but “the fact that it is even being considered underscores the level of concern within the administration over the possible damage from the months-long spying scandal — including the most recent disclosure that the National Security Agency was monitoring the communications of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.” Revealed: Germany 'prolific partner' of NSA, Merkel denies VIDEO BELOW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r6lGQgbQp0 The latest revelations prompted California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, to call for a “total review of all intelligence programs” following allegations by Merkel that the super-secret spy agency had listened in on her phone calls. Merkel’s outrage, however, is tempered by the fact German intelligence used NSA spy programs for domestic surveillance. “With respect to NSA collection of intelligence on leaders of U.S. allies — including France, Spain, Mexico and Germany — let me state unequivocally: I am totally opposed,” Feinstein said. She said “collecting phone calls or emails of friendly presidents and prime ministers” should not occur unless authorized under an emergency decree by the president. Feinstein said the Obama administration had informed her that “collection on our allies will not continue,” although the White House later characterized the Democrat’s statement as inaccurate. The large scale snooping on Merkel and others was revealed by former NSA systems analyst Edward Snowden. Feinstein and Obama, however, have not pledged to stop NSA surveillance of the American people despite polls showing 60 percent of them oppose unconstitutional spying and the extralegal process used by the government’s secret court to authorize widespread surveillance. Despite a non-stop effort by the establishment media to portray Edward Snowden as a “leaker” who broke the law and thus cast doubt on his revelations, a large number of Americans no longer believe it is necessary to violate constitutional rights in order to fight terrorism, a practice that has increased in intensity in the years since the September 11 attacks.
