2. 2. To have a plan what to do for an earth quake you want to have a plan for any were you are such as indoor, outdoor, work, and school. Also what to do if you are driving in a car. At one of those listed location above you want to have a earthquake safety kit at one of those locations above. Also, you always want to be ready for and earthquake even if you don’t think it can happen.
Earth quake ready ness
3. 3. During an earth quack you want to get under Neath something sturdy that you trust and the will hold up if something heavier fell on top of it. Another safety thing would not to go out side because it might even be worse out there! Tress might be falling you never know what will come at you.
Earthquake preparedness indoors lesson 1
http://fotosa.ru/stock_photo/Zefa%20RF/p_2411763.jpg
http://www.earthquakecountry.info/roots/seven_steps.html
4. 4. During an earthquake you do not want to be by or under un stable objects such as TVs or cabinets and a lot more. Also if you have heavier thing on the top you may want to put them on a lower shelf just in case if they fell you has a lot less chance of getting hurt.
Earthquake preparedness indoors lesson 2
http://www.earthquakecountry.info/roots/seven_steps.html
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/5789534/2/istockphoto_5789534-books-falling-from-a-shelf-3d-image.jpg
5. 5. You need to drop down to the ground immediately to something sturdy and hold on well because you never know which way you will go! Another thing is look out for falling objects if you can’t find a safe spot quickly.
An earthquake is happening while you are in indoors
http://www.bt.cdc.gov/disasters/earthquakes/during.asp
6. 6. If you are out side you do not want to be near any building at all just in case they fall down.
You do not want to be by any wires or stop sighs because they have a risk of falling also
Basically if you are out side you want to get in a big open space so that nothing can fall on you and hurt you.
What to do if you are outside while and earthquake
http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2009/09/03/alg_indonesia_earthquake.jpg
http://nilesema.com/earthquakesafety1.htm
7. 7. during school you want to ask some sort of teacher for a plan were to go and what to do if there is a earth quake happening during school hours.
Another thing is that if you have an elevator at school do not use it! It will take more time and you have a lot more risk of getting stuck in there.
During school a earthquake preparedness
http://www.online-sign.com/signs/prohibition/thumbs/15.jpg
http://nilesema.com/earthquakesafety1.htm
8. 8. Having a safety kit can be very useful because when having that extra stuff you have a chance to live longer if you got hurt. Also I say that you have a chance to live longer because there Is only a certain amount of police officers and firemen that can help at one time and you might not always be the first one. That’s why I think you should put a earthquake anywhere you can put one.
Having an earthquake safety kit is important
9. 9. A first aid kit
Money
Extra medication (if needed)
Pair of cloths
Blankets and pillows
Canned food and water
An air horn to get someone attention if can’t speak.
What would be in the earthquake safety kit
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/earthquakes/archive/ready.dtl
