• A learning management system (LMS) is software for
delivering, tracking and managing training/education.

What to expect
• every course may be presented differently
• every instructor may use tools differently
• instructors may use different tools for different offerings
• things may change
• other tools may be used

Keys to success
• if it's a course with a website, you STILL SHOULD go to
class!
• find out how the website (etc.) will be used in your course
• access the course early
• check email
• check discussion boards
• check links
• click through orientations
• know where your resources are
• know who to contact for help!

Special accommodations
• it's YOUR reponsibility to find out the procedure
• work with your instructor and CSD
• make arrangements early
• be patient and give yourself enough time

Netiquette

Netiquette rules
• know who to contact for help
• forward and quote appropriately
• DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS!
• be timely, but not rash
• don't blame the Borg when the Borg shouldn't be blamed

More netiquette
• consider your digital footprint
• don't fight with your girlfriend/boyfriend in your class
discussion board
• don't try to sell your car in the main class discussion
• follow the convention and rules of the tools/class
• REMEMBER to log off
