    • RFID systems include electronic devices called transponders or tags, and reader electronics to communicate with the tags.
    • These systems communicate via radio signals that carry data either Uni-directionally or Bi-directionally.
  • 3. RFID Tag
  • 4. RFID Tag Anatomy Substrate Antenna Tag IC
  • 5. TAG Block Diagram Antenna Power Supply Tx Modulator Rx Demodulator Control Logic (Finite State machine) Memory Cells Tag Integrated Circuit (IC)
  • 6. RFID System Four main elements: Tags, Readers, Antennas, & Network Systems
  • 7. RFID Reader
    • Primary functions:
      • Remotely power tags
      • Establish a Bi-directional data link
      • Inventory tags, filter results
