  • 6. 220 KV Sanganer  Located at a distance of 11 KM from MNIT  It’s a transmission substation  Initially was 132 KV GSS  Later upgraded to 220KV in the year 1991  Installed transmission capacity of 312.50 MVA (7 tranformers)  Transmission Loss is about 23% in Raj.
  • 7. Control & Operation of GSS Works under the directions of RLDC and SLDC for load dispatch Load dispatch on the basis of the “Hourly GSS schedule” Permission from LDC for line or Transformer shutdown. Work in synchronization with DISCOMS for scheduled maintenance.

Fault Operation  Relay trips as fault is detected in the system  Breaker operates  Alarm at control room blows up.  Alarm is manually reset  Breaker is made off after 5 min  If the fault persists , Isolator is removed  Fault if at switchyard is checked  If no local fault present, then fault feeder is contacted.  Supply is resumed after fault removal
  • 29. Maintenance of GSS DAILY JOBS Visual checking for any hot spot Checking of air and gas leakage from the breaker Checking of air and gas pressure of breaker Checking of oil level from CT and CVT
  • 30. Maintenance of GSS MONTHLY JOB Thermo vision scanning of conductor joints and attending to the hot spot available Breaker operation checking from local and remote Isolators operation from remote and local. Measurement of specific gravity and voltage of 220 V D. C Battery cells.
  • 31. Transformer Maintenance Permission from SLDC Switching Load to other Tranformer CB connected is operated Isolators are operated Earthing is provided to remove the residual charge due to induction.
