  • What is Communism? Communism :  A Government where people  shared work fairly and  were paid equally – The word “Communism” is Derived from the Latin word “Communis” which means – common or – belonging to all.
  • • BASED ON ? • LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT • FORMS OF POLITICAL POWERS • ASSOCIATION OF FREE PRODUCERS
  • The Beliefs of Communism The rich get richer. The poor get poorer.  People wanted to make everything equal.  People never er achieved the goal.  
  • What’s good about communism?  Security  Basic needs  Equal Rights  – – – Everyone would have a Job House Health Care
  • What’s bad about communism?  Lack of choice  No reward for being a better worker  No punishment for being a slacker  Everyone expected to be the same
  • USSR and United States USSR stands for: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.  The USSR was formed in December 1922.  The USSR is a Communist party  There was a friends ship between Russia and the U.S. that was motivated by struggle.  Communism opened a path of friendship. 
  • Industrial Revolution Inventions of new machines 2. Bought by capitalists 3. Displaced former workers 4. Difference between classes increases 1.
  • How’s this related to the IndRev? Adam Smith’s capitalism dominated the IndRev. Led to bad working conditions.  Karl Marx wrote about communism as solution to capitalism’s problems.  Marx said the workers would get fed up  Overthrow their governments and  start communism. 
  • Evolution : Primitive Communism  Humans lived together before the emergence of large-scale agriculture  Small hunting and gathering tribes  Everything was shared amongst the tribefood, jobs, belongings  No one owned land and no one is exploited for their labor.  Simple and Clean Method of practices
  • The Goal of Communism  Goal :  To get rid of social classes and  Make everything fair for everyone
  • 5 Key Points Communism is the government when everything is distributed equally.  Dictatorship is the government when a group or one person has control over everyone.  The Cold War is when there was tension between the U.S and the Soviet Union.   The beginning of communism through the Industrial Revolution.  U.S.S.R. goal to expand communism through the countries.
