  • 2. A TESSELLATION is any series of interlocking shapes. Can you think of any examples of tessellations? Bathroom tiles, subway tiles, puzzles, checkerboards, chessboards, Chinese checkers boards, and honeycombs are all examples of tessellations.

  • 20. STEPS
    • Draw 3 symmetrical faces on the paper your are given.
    • Cut out the triangle you are given.
    • Draw ½ of a face on one edge of the triangle you are given.
    • Repeat step 2 for the other 2 faces.
    • Trace with permanent marker.
    • Flip over your triangle and trace the back with permanent marker.

    • 7. Cut out the triangles your are given.
    • 8. Trace 6 fronts of your triangle
    • Trace 6 backs of your triangle
    • Glue down your triangles into a hexagon.
    • Color your tessellation neatly.
