  • 2. 5 facts about my animal. It lives on the Galapagos Island. It eats small animals such as fish, squid, and krill. The Galapagos penguin lives in a warm region off thecoast of Ecuador. The Galapagos penguin are the smallest populationsize of any penguin. The average Galapagos penguin is 49 centimeters
  • 3. Why are they Endangered? The main threat facing the penguin is the increasingfrequency of El Nino- Southern Oscillation (ENSO)events. Which reduces the strength of the coolcurrent this species needs to survive. This also causeschanges in its prey. In 1982 – 1983 ENSO caused ahorrible loss of penguins. A lot of penguins also diedof starvation.
