I want my students to understand:
Content Specific: The South Bronx is full of different cultures that share similarities and differences.
Global Statement: Different cultures make up the world we live in and the cultural differences and similarities lead to the survival of any species (Taba, 1971).

I want my students to understand:
Content Specific: The South Bronx stays in touch with many different countries by using technology such as telephones and computer
Global Statement: Technologies make it possible for people across the Earth to stay in touch and share traditions

How do these cultures interact?
How do these cultures help each other or hinder each other?
What different traditions do different cultures have?
Are there similarities between traditions?
How are these traditions passed on?
