  2. 2. What Chiropractors do!<br />Chiropractors diagnose and treat patients with health problems.<br />Most problems consist of the musculoskeletal system and nervous system.<br />Acts of this job are mostly in the area of the spine.<br />
  3. 3. Interesting Procedures<br />An interesting procedure is ultra sound which relaxes the muscles.<br />Another procedure involves physical therapy through specific exercises.<br />
  4. 4. The Work Area<br />Chiropractors work in clean comfortable offices.<br />Chiropractors are sometimes on their feet for long periods of time.<br />Patients are usually facedown on a soft bench during procedures.<br />
  5. 5. Requirements<br />Most applicants have a bachelors degree.<br />Programs require a minimum of 4200 hours of experience.<br />Hours are usually used in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience.<br />
  6. 6. Study Span<br />The first two years are spent studying the human body.<br />The last two years give you clinical experience with manipulation of the spine and other areas of the back.<br />
  7. 7. Costs<br />Costs at college can result from 415 to 150 dollars per credit hour.<br />Many factors including bills and payments for college can make studying this very difficult.<br />
  8. 8. Payment and Rewards<br />Chiropractors usually make between 45,540$ -96,700$<br />They also receive health insurance and retirement benefits from their employers.<br />Self employed chiropractors don’t receive health insurance or retirement benefits.<br />
