    20. Tips to Keep In Mind When Planning a Redesign
      • Get input from your website audiences before your start. Keep your users and audiences in mind when designing the information architecture.
      • Don’t Go It Alone – Get a committee together to participate in the project and help with decision-making.
      • Consider re-writing content, not just porting over the old content from your current site. (“Garbage In, Garbage Out”)
      • Make the redesign “More than skin deep” - Add new technology, functionality and interactivity to the website that you did not have on your previous site.
    21. Tips to Keep In Mind When Planning a Redesign
      • Inventory third-party systems that need to be ported to the new site and plan the migration of these systems.
      • Consider meeting with technical groups in your community to get their input on the project.
      • Don’t wait until the last minute to get high-quality photos and for your new website graphic design. (You may need to hire a professional photographer)
      • Work with your communications/marketing department to plan the announcement of the site launch.
