Everest<br />Because of the deep powdery snow. <br />Taylor Swift<br />Sang sweet songs to Izzy and her sister<br />In the shank of the evening<br />At a sold out show in Denver<br />Because they paid big bucks to go. <br />

Free Verse<br />IF I WERE IN CHARGE OF THE WORLD<br /> <br />If I were in charge of the world<br />I’d cancel brussel sprouts,<br />Monday mornings,<br />Allergy shots, and also <br />South Park.<br /> <br />If I were in charge of the world<br />There’d be three day weekends,<br />Healthier children, and<br />A much shorter major league baseball season.<br /> <br />If I were in charge of the world,<br />You wouldn’t have sad feelings.<br />You wouldn’t have meetings.<br />You wouldn’t have wars.<br />Or “It’s time to wake up.”<br />You wouldn’t even have alarm clocks.<br />If I were in charge of the world<br />Desserts would be required at every meal and would be a vegetable.<br />All scary movies would be “G.”<br />And a person who sometimes forgot to brush,<br />And sometimes forgot to flush,<br />Would still be allowed to be<br />In charge of the world. <br />
