  2. Clear the fraction to solve this equation
  3. Multiply both sides by the LCD
  4. The LCD is distributed on the left side
  5. Each of the denominators cancels Now solve this equation!! 4 a 6
  6. Subtract 4 from both sides Divide both sides by 5 The solution is 4
