    • What does it have in common?

    • Region refers to an area that has some characteristic in common. Regions can be huge like the Milkway Galaxy, but they can also be very small , such as the 7 th grade hallway at Tamanend

    • Hottest
    • Most direct sunlight
    • Temperature changes little throughout the season the lowest temperature is 65 degrees F (hot year round)
    • It is very humid (lots of moisture in the air)

    • Between the Tropics and the Arctic Circle and the Antarctic Circle

    • No sunlight during part of the year
    • No darkness during part of the year

    • Even more impressive areas can be in several regions at one time depending on what the common characteristic is.
    • Example: Warrington, PA – is part of Central Bucks School District, different temples, churches, etc., different sports teams, as well as, part of the suburbs of Philadelphia and part of
    • the USA, etc.
