  • 3. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Minimum / Basic Requirements• Different for each piece of equipment. Check appropriate Technical Manual as there are many pieces of GSE equipment. – AGPU: TM 1-1730-229-24P – Jacks: Check manual for appropriate jack. – Maintenance Stands and Platforms – GANG – Tow bars – Slings UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO 3
  • 4. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Warnings / Cautions / Considerations• Check equipment for proper tag i.e. yellow tag.• Make sure equipment has load test due date and PI or CCI date marked on the equipment. Do not use if out of date.• PMCS the equipment before use.• Keep in mind to perform during and after checks on the equipment.• Only licensed drivers or operators can use equipment that requires a license. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Using the equipment• Follow the operator’s manual guidelines in starting, operating, and shutting down the equipment.• Do not overload the equipment’s weight capacity (located on data plate or stenciled on equipment).• Use the equipment for its proper use.• Use proper PPE when operating the equipment. I.E. Ear pro, eye pro, gloves, etc. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO 5

UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Storing and Parking• Make sure to use a proper ground, drip pan and chock block underneath equipment that requires such. – For example: APGU, GANG or SATS• Return equipment to where it was received for proper storing.• If wheel breaks are applicable ensure that they are engaged before walking away from the equipment.   • 7. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO Summary• Personnel should be trained on equipment.• Reference appropriate TM and SOP.• Follow proper safety procedures.• Wear PPE• Store and park equipment properly.• Perform Before, During, and After PMCS procedures. UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO 7
