1. 1. Wikis, Blogs and Web Publishing Kristi Perrone
 2. 2. What did I find most useful?

Wiki Pages

I found making a wiki page for my class very useful.

I use it as a classroom home page and have already gotten positive feedback from my students parents.

Glogster

I find glogster is a great tool. I have already used the one I have made in my classroom and have ideas to make others.

 3. 3. Success and Challenges

I feel everything I did in this class was pretty successful after I began and had fully thought my ideas through.

My challenges were deciding what to do for my blog. Another challenge I had was working I Google. As I kept working with it, I felt more comfortable with it but I still think I have more to learn.

 4. 4. Thoughts on Moodle and Online Learning

Moodle was very easy to navigate through. I would recommend to use this as online learning community. I think it would be great for those who are not so computer savvy.

This was my first online class. I liked it. I would take another. I do like personal interaction you have in the classroom. But I like the freedom you have to do your work on your own time with an online class. I enjoy both.

I have taken Rich’s classes online and classroom classes and he does a great job in either situation. I would recommend his classes to anyone! I have learned so much.

 5. 5. MY WORK

MY WIKI

For my wiki project, I did a classroom wiki.

I found that wikis were very easy to use. I enjoy making wikis and think their could be many possibilities for your wiki page.

I thought this was great for the parents to be able to access some information at home.

On the wiki it has instructional videos on touch math, which is a program we currently use in the classroom. It has a book list of great books, a link to my blog, a introduction to the class and more.

So far I have received positive feed back from the parents of my students.

 6. 6. MY WORK continued

RSS

 7. 7. MY WORK continued

RSS continued

For my RSS I chose to do an I Google.

I found I Google very difficult to understand and to navigate through.

Some of the tools I found helpful in I Google were:

Importing your calendar

Having different folders for your websites.

I plan to explore I Google more and hopefully have more insight on it.

 8. 8. MY WORK continued

My Blog

I used blogster for my blog. I thought it was very user friendly and you could do a lot with it.

The blog I made was a classroom blog. It is going to be used to tell parents what was done in class during the week.

Parents can also comment or ask questions about the activities done in class.

This was probably one of the most difficult tasks to do for the class because I was really undecided on what I should do.

 9. 9. MY WORK continued

MY GLOGSTER

Glogster is a great tool. I really had a lot of fun.

I did my glogster on money. I review money weekly in my classroom and I felt this would be a great way to shake it up.

I also have so many ideas to make more glogsters. I can’t wait to make them.
