The Great Hyderabad Adventure Club accomplished their mission of reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters altitude. After 9 days of hiking 10-12 hours daily, the 11-person team reached Base Camp, having prepared through a strict month-long fitness regime of walking and stair climbing before embarking on the trek. Their route took them through beautiful mountain scenery to their destination.

4. GHAC has reached 5550 meters above the sea level again for the 5th time to Everest Base Camp on 9th May 2011. While many of the routes through the mountains are arduous and the most toughest, there are places to rest and enjoy a meal (DalBhat) -, After 9days of Hiking daily 10-12hours we all reach the Base Camp…the team was physically and mentally fit. 5. Strict, month-long fitness regime that the team did before the trek, initially I use wake up everybody by 5.30am and then they use to wake me up by 5.00am…the training alternates between rigorous walking (KBR Park) and climbing around 1500steps (Ammuguda) each day. Preparations before the trek
