    When we don’t want to say who does it.

    Dates are grown in Saudi Arabia.
    Rule: ( O + is/are + p.p/v3)
    We use the present with facts and when the time in sentence is in present.
    Spain and Portugal were ruled by Muslims.
    Rule: ( O + was/were + p.p/v3)
    when the time in sentence is in past.

    What is present perfect?
    Present perfect is something started in the past and
    its effect Continue to exist in present time
    Now
    Past
    For example:
    King Abdul Aziz hasunified Saudi Arabia
  • 5. When do we use present perfect?
    The time is unknown (you don’t know the time ORyou don’t say when it happened).
    • We use the p.p (v3) with present perfect.
    Examples:
    Satellites have linked the Kingdom with the world.
    Electronic mail has connected Egypt, Qatar and U.S.A.
