  • 1. The shadow of guilt The moment I start to ponder, I found myself, Alone in the dark, against the gloomy wall, Trapped in the shadow of guilt. I tried to chase it away, To do away with it and Let it be just a shadow, But it refuses to free me. Shadow of guilt, Upon yesterday and today, Which is to make its way, To tomorrow and future ahead. Oh! It’s awful, To be caught in this shadow, Everywhere I touch, All I feel is regret It’s a sinful shade. I don’t want to belong here, I begged, I cried, I prayed! I chased, I ran, and I struggled! Now I surrender, It’s strong, so strong. Even when it is absent, I tend to look for it, Peep at times to see, If it’s gone, if it’s there?
  • 2. Than I realized, It’s there, it’s everywhere. It’s not gone but, It’s in me, Struggling to find its way out; And I thought, It was me who was caught. 27th July 2006
