Toyota to start trial production of Etios in Sept <ul><li>The world's largest car-maker Toyota will start trial production of its small car 'Etios' for the Indian market from next month. </li></ul><ul><li>The Japanese car major, which is present in India through a joint venture with the Kirloskar Group, is investing Rs 3,200 crore to set up its manufacturing facility in Bangalore to roll out its first small car in India by December. </li></ul>

Contd. <ul><li>The company will launch both hatchback and sedan under the Etios series with 1.2 litre and 1.5 litre petrol engines respectively. </li></ul><ul><li>The company is expecting to sell about 65,000 units of the 'Etios' next year out of a target of 1.5 lakh units across all models in India. </li></ul>

India's e-commerce growth to pick up with 3G: eBay <ul><li>Buying and selling of products over electronic systems such as the Internet are growing manifold (as per eBay's President and CEO John Donahoe) </li></ul><ul><li>In India, at present, the e-commerce business is growing at 30 per cent and eBay itself is growing at 60 per cent. Ebay has about 2.5 million users in India. </li></ul>

Blackberry May Face Ban If No Solution In 5 Days <ul><li>RIM says it has no &quot;master key&quot; to unlock encryption codes of clients which are set at the user level and argues the issue is an industry-wide concern. </li></ul><ul><li>The government made it clear on 26 th that Blackberry services may be banned if its maker fails to give any solution. </li></ul>

  8. 8. Tech Mahindra`s CEO Sanjay Kalra quits <ul><li>IT major Tech Mahindra`s chief executive officer (CEO) Sanjay Kalra has resigned from the company to pursue other interests, the company said. Kalra was with Tech Mahindra for six years. </li></ul><ul><li>Vineet Nayyar, vice-chairman and managing director of the company will take over the operational responsibilities as the company`s CEO. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Minimum Investment In ULIP to go up <ul><li>Insurance companies plan to raise this to match the returns prescribed by the regulator. For instance, the second largest life insurer, SBI Life, is likely to increase the minimum ticket size from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500. </li></ul><ul><li>Similarly, Bajaj Allianz is going to increase the minimum ticket size from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 in the revised products. </li></ul>

  11. 11. IDBI best public sector bank for SME financing <ul><li>IDBI Bank has received the best public sector bank award for financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from global business information provider Dun and Bradstreet. </li></ul>
