    • WELCOME TEA PARTY PATRIOTS
    • PREAMBLE To the Constitution of the United States of America
    • PREAMBLE
      • We the People of the United States,
      • In Order to Form a More Perfect Union,
      • Establish Justice,
      • Ensure Domestic Tranquility,
      • Provide for the Common Defense,
      • Promote the General Welfare,
      • And secure the Blessings of Liberty to
      • Ourselves and Our Posterity,
      • Do Ordain and Establish this Constitution for
      • The United States of America.
    • 7 Key Points:
      • “ The price of Freedom is eternal vigilance!”
      • -Thomas Jefferson
      • The founding fathers carefully chose the words used in the preamble to ensure its application in 1789 and for the future of
      • The United States of America
      • and its People.
    • Key Point #1
      • In Order to Form a
      • More Perfect Union
      • The word Union establishes the marriage of individual states. The Constitution was written for the states of the union not the federal government. It recognizes the uniqueness each individual states offers as an independent state in the union .
    • Key Point #2
      • Establish Justice
      • To Establish Justice –
      • Simply: Justice is Justice
      • “If not holding & establishing justice,
      • Not protecting people of this country!”
    • Key Point #3
      • Ensure Domestic Tranquility
      • The founding fathers made it clear that domestic tranquility must be the focus, domestic for the united states only.
      • “ For the people of the states
      • of this country only”
      • International aid and policing should not
      • Take away from our union states or the
      • people of this country.
    • Key Point #4
      • Provide for the Common Defense
      • States could not individually
      • protect themselves against invasion
      • It must be a common act of protection
      • If we cannot protect our states what should our responsibility be as a world wide policing agent?
    • Key Point #5
      • Promote the General Welfare
      • Promote not guarantee the General or
      • common welfare for all. Promoting and providing specific welfare for various groups of people.
      • Neither in purpose nor in power does the constitution promote or provide benefit to specific groups of individuals.
      • Promote must be feasible and practical in form.
      • General - no promise to provide a standard of living of welfare for all, not based on an individual but on the people of the United States.
    • Key Point #6
      • And secure the Blessings of Liberty to
      • Ourselves and Our Posterity ,
      • Liberty is the culminating purpose of all the purposes. It is Individual.
      • Liberty is not the most important thing, it is the only thing!
      • Liberty to be, to do, to want, to…
    • Thomas Jefferson on Liberty
      • “ Of liberty I would say that in the whole plentitude of its extent it is unobstructed action according to our will, but rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our own will, within the limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.
      • I do not add “within the limits of the law” because law is often the tyrants will, and always so, when it violates the right of the individual!”
    • Key Point #7
      • Do Ordain and Establish this Constitution for The United States of America.
      • Ordain – from 1789 to today and in the future, the Constitution is for all the ages.
      • Establish – The act the Four Fathers accomplished when they signed and enacted the constitution, a one time act.
      • The use of the word this references the ideology of the Constitution, where as the
      • Constitution cannot be voided by time.
      • The word for identifies the federal government as an agency of the states. The federal government exists for the benefit of the states of the union period. Today the federal government thinks that the states exist for them.
