One World Place is a premium, LEED-registered green building set to be completed on the 4th quarter of 2014. Its architectural design is a proud collaborative creation of Gensler, one of the largest architectural firms in the world, and Aidea, a prominent local architectural firm. The award-winning building includes eco-friendly and high-performance features that makes it worthy of LEED Silver rating. It has a rainwater collection and graywater system to reduce water consumption; envelope concepts that respond to the need for high energy efficiency in Manila (one of the cities with the most expensive electricity rates in Asia) such as: daylighting, natural ventilation, efficient insulated glass, and solar-reflective coating; and an earthquake-resistant design that lessens building impact in case the city gets hit by an earthquake (which is a possibility, as the Philippines is in the Pacific Ring of Fire).
