Audio Book Download Instructions

  1. 1. You need…  an iPod, iPod Touch or an iPhone  iTunes installed on your computer  a library card  a PC Computer - with Windows XP or an Apple Mac Computer with OS X 10.4 1
  2. 2. Start at http://connstatelib.mylibraryaudio.com/On the left, type “Juvenile Fiction” and check“Only Available Items.” Browse for a book.When you find one, click on “Add to Bookshelf.” When you are asked, enter your library card number and click “Go” 2
  3. 3. Click on “Go to Bookshelf.”Under “Downloads” you willsee the book.Click on “Download now” 3
  4. 4. Click on “Download theIngram Media Manager”for PC(or for OS X) 4
  5. 5. If you are asked:“Would you like to save this Click “Save file”file?” Then open the fileIf you are asked:“Do you want to run or save Click “Run”this file:You will see the software start to downloadAnother box may ask: “Do you want to run this Click “Run” software?”
  6. 6. When the download is complete,you are ready to set up IngramMedia Manager, which will letyou download the audio booksthat you borrow.Click Next 6
  7. 7. Check “I accept the terms in theLicense Agreement.” Click “Next” Click “Next” 7
  8. 8. Click Install Click Finish 8
  9. 9. Return to the iCONN download page. Click on“Click here to get your title” Click “Allow” 9
  10. 10. Click Accept 10
  11. 11. Your book will start to download and When you see the you will start to hear the recording. “Download Complete” message, click “Transfer” 11
  12. 12. If you have an iPod, click iPod. If (For iPod users) you an another type of device, Now connect your iPod click Windows Media. to the computer. 12
  13. 13. Your iPod will begin to “sync.”iTunes will open and appear atthe bottom of your computer.Ingram Media Manager will tellyou that your device wasdetected.It will tell you if the book will fiton the iPod.Click “next” 13
  14. 14. You will see the book beingYou will see a listing of all transferred. When you see athe chapters in the book. message that says the transfer Click “Next” is complete, click “Close” 14
  15. 15. Maximize iTunes which will be open at the bottom of yourcomputer screen. Check that the downloaded book is on your device. Each chapter will be a separate track. Eject your iPod. Congratulations! You can now begin to listen to your audio book. Remember, you have borrowed this book from the library for 2 weeks. If you want to keep it longer, you must borrow it again. 15
