MAA Strategic Planning Over the last few years, the Museum Association of Arizona has been successful in fulfilling its mission and meeting the goals and objectives of the association’s strategic plan. Now, the association must respond to the needs of museum professionals and their institutions in these new and challenging times.
  • 2. MAA Strategic Planning <ul><li>Over the last six months the Museum Association of Arizona has been working on a new strategic plan to guide the association over the next few years. Under the auspices of the Governance Committee, MAA has contracted with Greg Vaughan of the Vaughan Consulting Group to facilitate the planning process. </li></ul>

MAA Strategic Planning <ul><li>The planning process to date has included: </li></ul><ul><li>Focus Groups in multiple locations across the state </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Tucson </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Cochise County </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Phoenix </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The committee was not able to facilitate a meeting in northern Arizona </li></ul></ul></ul>

  • 7. MAA Strategic Planning <ul><li>New Mission Statement: </li></ul><ul><li>The Museum Association of Arizona exists to build a vital museum community. We strengthen all of Arizona’s museums so they are recognized as essential to the fabric of their communities. We do this through professional development, advocacy, and the creation of networking opportunities across the state. </li></ul><ul><li>Tagline: Building a vital museum community </li></ul>
