  • 1. The term One-way-grill is actually a very bad 1:1 translation from German. So here are the right names German – Einweggrill* UK - disposable instant grill US - disposable barbeque (BBQ) French – grill á usage unique Suomi - Kaksi kertakäyttögrilliä Finish - ? * Wegwerfgrill, Picknickgrill, … https://www.kmmatch.com/media/catalog/product/0000365_large.jpg
  • 2. It seems to be used worldwide. In Europe, the USA and even in China. http://best-b2b.com/Search/?keyword=instant+grill&search=
  • 3. The base of the disposable grill is made of thin aluminum. That pan holds about 500g of charcoal – enough to grill up to six steaks, saussages, chicken parts, etc. To hold the meat over the glowing charcoal, the aluminum pan is covered by a thin metal grid.
  • 4. In Germany the disposable grill is sold at gas stations, in beverage-markets, supermarkets, depots for gardening & building. At a price of about 2,50 Euro it is a simple convenience product that is placed eigter next to the big bags of charcoal or next to beer or packs of ready made steaks sealed in pastig bags. http://www.grillsportverein.de/upload_neu/2006/05/einweggrill_flash.jpg

  • 6. Who uses it? In Germany there are 3 different user-groups:
  • 7. Group 1: Mostly young people that spontaniously decide to BBQ in nature (a park, beach etc.). They buy a sixpack of beer, one pack of ready made steakes or saussages - and a disposable grill. http://www.fensterzumhof.eu/bilder/d/38649-6/Grillen-Parks-Berlin-Tiergarten
  • 8. Group 2: People that do have a big grill at their home, but do not like to carry it to a place outside (parks, camping, festivals) and also do not want to take a dirty grill back. http://www.boker.de/images/treetimes/tirpitz/gross/05.jpg
  • 9. http://www.osgc.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/einweggrill_1.jpg And group 3: People that live in small apartments (may be with a small balcony) and do not have the space to keep a grill around there.
