    • 7. Electronic & Print books The icons on the right margin indicate the format. Click on the title to open up the full record. (ex) Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach, 8e DiPiro, Talbert, Yee, et al.
    • 8. If the item you are looking for is on the HPD Circulation Shelves and is available you can come in and check it out for a month

    • 14. To open the book 1. Click on the link that says “Available for viewing via Access Pharmacy” You will need to Log-In to get access
    • 15. To access any of our resources, you are going to have to “authenticate” or identify yourself as an NSU student by logging in. You will log-in using your Sharklink Log-in & password. The same one you will use for Blackboard and your WebMail.
    • 16. It should open up eBook on the ePublisher’s site. Click on the section from the Table of Contents to navigate to the Chapter you want
    • 17. Use a library database to find articles - when you have a topic
    • 18. 1. State your research question….. (Ex:) Are the HcG shots (or the HcG diet) really helping people (specifically women) lose weight ? **You will use your research question to determine how you are going to search the library databases
    • 19. Select key concepts… (Ex:) Are the HcG shots (or the HcG diet) really helping people (specifically women) lose weight? The key concepts are: HcG weight loss women Identify synonyms… **Do not select common words that would be in any article
    • 20. Select the title field for the search….  The default search for most search boxes is a keyword search – so it looks for these words to be anywhere in the article.  Choose the [Title] field option to really narrow down your search
    • 21. Truncate appropriate words… Use the * TV OR Television televis* = televise, televised, televising, television
    • 22. Hint: Use the [Subject Major Heading] limiter on the results screen
    • 23. After clicking on the Find It button….
    • 24. Then check the Library catalog to see if we have it in print
    • 25. If we do not have it available electronically or in print, jump to the last option which is Interlibrary Loan
