“14 Principles OF THE TOYOTA WAY
we can learn an important lesson about success from an insect that has survived for millions of years and
has kept life simple, but highly effective - Ants.
If you want to pursue a successful life, then this proven philosophy should be adopted. It is a four-part
strategy and it goes something like this:
They never quit - if an ant is headed in one direction, no matter what you do to stop them, they find
another way to continue in that direction. They’ll go around, climb over, climb under - they just keep
looking for another way. What a great philosophy to have - never quit heading in the direction you have
chosen regardless of the obstacles.
They think Winter all Summer - great perspective to have. How naive to think that Summer will last
forever. So ants gather their Winter supplies in the middle of Summer.
They think Summer all Winter - another very important process. The Ant believes the current Winter
won’t last long; we’ll soon be out of here. And the first warm day - out they go. If it gets cold, back in they
go. But as soon as it gets warm again, out they go. They just can’t wait to get out.
They do all they possibly can - to collect as much food as they can in Summer in preparation for the
Winter. What a great philosophy to have, the ‘All-You-Possibly-Can’ thinking.
So perhaps, simply by following in the Ant’s footsteps, we can bring about success...
Never give up - look ahead - stay positive and do all you can to build a great future

Harvested best practises adapted for my college
• Standardize the committee selection process for the students for all the batches
• Use of Solar power:
since our college is situated in Mumbai ,there is required amount of
sunlight, its better to set up solar panel at roof top, the sunlight can be used to
produce electricity instead of using electricity produced by the govt. we can save
and utilize the natural resources for other purposes
. Vermi Compost formation:
There is minimum 50 kgs of solid food waste is daily happening in our
college .This can be used to make the compost and then after it can be used as
fertilizer. This fertilizer saves Urea cost and its more eco friendly
Innovative best practises for the college
• Digitalising the process : Most of the students are applying for leave, their
documents etc.. At the middle of course. They should provide Online request for
taking documents from concerned departments. It reduces usage of paper and
Tracking be easier.
• Inter disciplinary Choice based credit system: CBCS should be implemented .If it
happens , PGDMM students can pursue Marketing or Finance subjects along with
their core subjects. Similarly ,Other course students also pursue based on their
interest. It increases the skills of the student. Which enhances the placement
opportunity for the students globally. They will be more competitive in future.
• Combined grooming sessions for the students:
when the students join in the college grooming process be
taken by the respective Student activity committee. GD’s and PI should be conduct
to all the students combine manner. But not separately. It will improve their skills
more.
Establishment of incubation centre:
Govt is planning to establish incubation centre in each and
every university. If that facility available in our college there is more chance of
increasing the start ups . The entrepreneurs will e drastically increase
Object-oriented: Both the college authorities and students should know their
goals as well as goals of the college. Management should prepare the specific goals
for the enhancement of college and should prepare specific steps for the completion.
