  1. 1. Teens and Social Media at THS Teens have several different ways of using social media.
  2. 2. Different Types of Social Media The most used social media sites at THS are probably Tumblr, Instagram, SnapChat, and Facebook
  3. 3. Uses of Social Media Teens at THS use social media sites such as Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, or FaceBook to connect with friends, see what is going in their lives and to send pictures between them.
  4. 4. Why Teens Use Social Media Teens use social media because they are a fun way to communicate with friends and because everyone is doing it.
  5. 5. Personal Uses of Social Media Teens use social media mainly for personal use, to contact their friends, see what is going on in their friend’s lives, or to view funny posts that users post on apps such as Tumblr or Instagram.
  6. 6. Professional Uses of Social Media Kids can also use social media in a professional way, like if they are an artist trying to show off their art or a photographer trying to get their photos out there.
  7. 7. Trends From Last Year to This One FaceBook has taken a major decrease in usage by teens from last year to this one, while Instagram, SnapChat, and Tumblr have had a major increase in usage by teenagers.
  8. 8. Social Media and Positive Impacts onTeen’s Futures Social Media can have several positive impacts on teen’s futures. They could show off their skills so that colleges can see it, or post their resume onto their social media account so an employer can see it.
  9. 9. Social Media and Negative Impacts on Teen’s Futures Social Media can also have serious negative repercussions on a teen’s future. They can post bad pictures that potential colleges or jobs can search and find and make it less likely for them to be accepted or hired.
