        • App should not be ugly
          • No forced invites
          • No spam
          • No clutter in the user interface
        • App should add value
          • Meaningful applications = beautiful applications
        • App should exceed user’s expectations
          • Actual Outcome > Desired Outcome

        • Rome was NOT built in a day: spend time
          • Define the target user/persona
          • Optimize the app for that persona
          • Prioritize scenarios
        • Sketch > think > sketch > think > sketch
          • Sketch on paper, whiteboard or tablet
          • Do a quick html story-board
          • Don’t ever start coding without it
        • Ask for feedback & incorporate the feedback
          • Ask through your social graph
          • Listen carefully and take notes
          • Incorporate the feedback and ask again
          • repeat
