Editor's Notes
The Film Studies Programme (commonly known as the Pretoria Film School) was established in 1971 to specifically train technicians for the film industry and later also for the TV industry that was to have its introduction in South Africa 5 years later. A syllabus for a one-year National Certificate in Film Production was constituted in co-operation with the now defunct National Film Board and the Motion Picture Producers Association of South Africa.
