    • Feeling Happiness

      • Listed below are the four seasons of the year. What is something that happens in each of these seasons that makes you happy?

    • Saving Happiness
      • They are many possible ways to gain happiness. Label the coins for your Bank of Happiness with the names of things that make you happy.
      • Examples :
      • Having good friends
      • Being honest
      • Feeling good about myself
      • When others are nice to me
      • I do well on a test
      • Someone gives me a compliment
    • Feeling Sad
      • Sadness is often a choice. You allow yourself to feel sad. Some situations in which you feel sad are:

    • Looking on the Good Side
      • Often we allow sadness in our lives because we look at situations with a negative attitude. Change the following statements to positive statements:

      • I did not win.
      • My friend will not talk to me.

    • Easing Sadness for Others
      • What do you do when you know a friend or family member feels sad?

      • Buddy says, “ The coach got angry at me because he thought I wasn’t listening. But I was. That made me angry.” Tell of a time when a peer or grown-up blamed you for something that was not your fault.
      You can tell a person how you feel if you think something is not fair. But always be polite.
    • How to Deal with Anger
      • Count to ten in your head
      • Take a deep breath
      • Walk away and cool down
      • Scream in a pillow
      • Tell an adult
      • We all make mistakes once in a while, but don’t
      • let it get you down. It’s smart to admit it when you’ve
      • been wrong.
    • Controlling my Anger
      • Now I’m learning to control my anger. First, I count to ten. Then I try to figure out why I’m angry. When I cool off, I try to fix the problem.
