  • 1. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? Kiera Brown
  • 2. Production companyA production company essentiallyhelps to create the film- it assists inthe budgeting, scheduling, scripting, casting and more. Thecompany usually looks over the filmfrom when it’s just an idea to thecompletion. They are responsiblefor finding a director and themajority of acting talent required. My production logo is very eyecatching so therefore grabspeoples attention. I have typicallyused one image in the middle of mylogo so that it doesn’t lookovercrowded or unrealistic.
  • 3. Film distributionA film distributor is a company orindividual responsible for themarketing of a film. The distributormay set the release date of a filmand the method by which a film is tobe exhibited or made available forviewing. A distributor may do thisdirectly, if the distributor owns thetheaters or film distributionnetworks, or through theatricalexhibitors and other sub-distributors. A limited distributor maydeal only with particular products, such as DVDs or Blu-ray, or may actin a particular country or market.
  • 4. Momentum picturesThe film distribution company that Iwould use for my film would beMomentum Pictures. I have chosento this company in particularbecause they have previouslydistributed other films in the horrorgenre that have made a lot ofmoney. Some of the films that theyhave distributed in the same genreas my film are, Sinister, TheWoman in Black, House at the Endof the Street and Grindhouse.

They award Lotteryfunding to film production, distribution, education, audiencedevelopment and market intelligenceand research.
  • 6. Film TitlesI have added in titles to my filmopening as it is a typical genericconvention of any genre film. Nomatter what genre the film is youwill definitely see titles in the filmopening. Film titles are there toinform the audience about whowas involved in the productionand distribution stages of thatfilm. I have presented the titlesin my film opening by using ablack background with red andwhite writing over the top.
  • 7. Influential filmsThere have been many differentfilms that have influenced in theproduction of my horror films. Oneof the main films that played amajor role in influencing my film is‘Orphan.’ I have used their idea ofusing a young girl but changingthe fact she will be the victim in myfilm not the villain. I have alsoused their costume ideas. I havedressed my victim in similarclothes the girl in Orphan wouldwear at night time.
