  • 2 We want to connect individuals, groups and organizations who are able to help more people experience the joy of coding with people willing to learn. Do you want to join? 11-17 October 2014 www.codeweek.eu

  • 4 How you can contribute to #codeEU  Kids/teenagers/adults can participate in coding events  Coders can organise workshops in local schools, hack spaces or community centres  Teachers who code can hold coding classes, share their lessons plans, organise workshops for colleagues  Teachers who don't code can organise seminars or invite parents or students to teach each other coding  Parents can encourage their kids to participate in a coding workshop  Businesses and non-profit organisations can host coding workshops, lend their staff as coaches, organise fun coding challenges for students or offer sponsorship for coding events  Everyone who participates in a coding activity can tell us about their experience and inspire others!
  • 5 What can be done in Austria ● implementing digikomp.at digital skills set in schools ● teacher trainings, new methods, new technologies (e-bazar, education day, edudays) ● make coding popular as a general skill not only for professional programmers ● new digital businesses /entrepreneurs are in need of the right talents in austria (digital / web startups) ● ICT graduates are declining (research IBW)
