Witchcraft is the carrying out of spells whilstusing supernatural and magical powers. Like TheDevil, witches have been made out to ride broomsticks andhave green faces when really they could be in any shape orform.The way this relates to our opening sequence is because inthe story the girl is made out to be a witch when really sheis warning them of evil. Taking the idea further that witcheshave no typical convention, we have decided to show flashingimages of witches as average looking women later on in thefilm.
