  • Cast Iron Soil Pipe System
  • NewAge Cast Iron Soil Pipe Systems NewAge manufactures both major categories of Cast Iron Soil Pipe Systems: 1. No-Hub (Hubless) ASTM A888 & CISPI 301 2. Hub & Spigot (Service Weight) ASTM A74
  • The Complete NewAge System Standard 2 Band Couplings Heavy Duty Couplings Service Weight Gaskets
  • Who are we? • Company was established in 2005 • Management with over 60 years combined experience with Cast Iron Soil Pipe. 200,000 sq/ft facility All products stored under covered warehouse Ensures protection from elements
  • Indoor Product Storage Pipe is stored in vertical racks capable of holding 5 truckloads each Fittings stored in racks with overstock above.
  • National Distribution
  • Raw Materials • We utilize over 95% Virgin Pig Iron – Resulting in a higher composition of metal • Consistent snap cuts with scissor and ratchet type cast iron snap cutters • Can cut pieces as small as a ½” • Uniform pipe cuts utilizing chop saw
  • Manufacturing to Perfection •Honed (Clean) Interior of Each Pipe – Resulting in better flow characteristics •Hydrostatic Testing of Each Pipe – 5 PSI Water Test Before the Coating Process •Spray Coated for Consistent Coverage – Easier Installation resulting in Flush Coupling Seat
  • Quality Systems Levels of Quality Control (QC) -All NewAge Foundries are ISO 9001 Approved -Foundry QC at time of manufacturing -NewAge QC with our on-site Foundry Inspectors -NewAge QC Upon Receiving Goods -NewAge QC Before Shipment of Goods -UPC / IAPMO QC audits for compliance four times per year -NSF International as an additional 3rd party QC -ICC Evaluation Services as additional 3rd party QC
  • NewAge Metallurgical Lab
  • Material Test Reports • Radioactivity Screening • Chemical Composition • Tensile Strength • Dimensional Check • MSDS for Coatings All test reports maintained for a minimum of 7 years for full traceability
  • Typical Job Site
  • Fittings Packaging Fitting crates are organized, packaged & labeled by floor, section or campus which minimizes project labor costs.
  • Fittings Packaging Fitting crates are organized and labeled with all products inside the crates for ease of material handling to maximize labor efficiencies.
  • Pipe Packaging Solid Platform Base with End and Side Fork Lift Access All Pipe Independently Strapped using Poly Banding Vertical and Horizontal separation to protect from rust lines Pipe is bagged prior to leaving the foundry for further protection

  • Welcome to the NewAge of Epoxy!!
  • Excessive Corrosion Excessive Corrosion Effects DWV Systems The Epoxy System is Designed for: - Hospitals / Labs - Bars / Kitchens - Food Processing - Cleaning Chemicals - Hot Water over 180º - Waterless / HEU - Soda Machines - Maritime
  • MIC: A Form of Excessive Corrosion Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion What causes MIC? MIC is caused by bacterial microbes in combination with four other environmental conditions: metals (host location), nutrients, water, and oxygen (although some types of bacteria need only very small amounts of oxygen). These bacteria are ubiquitous in the environment and piping materials. When all of these environmental conditions are present, then microbial growth will occur. What happens if MIC is present in pipes? As MIC bacteria grows, consumption of the metal pipe occurs and sometimes tubercles are formed. Pitting is a likely effect and the walls of the pipe may be penetrated but the flow characteristics of the pipes are degraded.
  • MIC Corroded Pipe from Phoenix and Tampa
  • Challenge: Re-Pipe due to Corrosion Re-pipe: Challenge for owners to operate their facility: • Down time of their building / facility due to corrosion and resulting in non-functioning sanitary systems. • Cost associated with replacement and recommissioning of the system.
  • Coating Requirements by Code • The current Cast Iron Soil Pipe Standards have no requirements as to what can be used to coat pipe/fittings. • The standard only requires – “The pipe and fittings shall be uniformly coated with a material suitable for the purpose, that is adherent, not brittle, and without tendency to scale.”
  • The Solution: NewAge Epoxy - Pipe and fittings conforming to ASTM A 888 with Epoxy Coating - Coating meets EN 877 Standard – British, European and Australian standard that requires all commercial application DWV be epoxy coated. - Internal and external layer of epoxy coating
  • Coating Approval by UPC
  • EN 877 Testing: Epoxy Coating Resistance to Salt Spray Test Length: 350 hours Test Procedure: Immerse in Salt Spray Resistance to Waste Water Test Length: 30 days Test Procedure: immersed conditions at 73°F Chemical Resistance Test Length: 30 days immersed Test Procedure: 1st Sample: a solution of sulfuric acid at 2pH held at 73°F. 2nd Sample: solution of sodium hydroxide at 12pH held at 73°F Coating Thickness Test Procedure: Pipe: mean value of at least ten measurements. Fitting: mean value of at least five measurements spread over the surface of the fitting.
  • EN 877 Testing: Epoxy Coating Adhesion Test Procedure: Section 5.9 inch long cut from a coated pipe or fitting. Number of cuts: 6, Spacing of the cuts: 0.08 inch Resistance to Hot Water Test Length: 24 hours Test Procedure: Immersed for in a water bath held at 203°F. Resistance to Temperature Cycling Test Length: 1500 cycles of passage of hot and cold water. Test Procedure / Schedule: a) Eight gallons of water at a temperature of 203°F over a period of 1 min c) Eight gallons of water at a temperature of 40°F over a period of 1 min
  • Installation of NewAge Epoxy The install of NewAge Epoxy Pipe is no different then the standard CISP system. There is no additional cost for the installation of NewAge Epoxy on standard DWV projects. Joined with Regular, Heavy Duty or Extra Heavy Duty no hub coupling
  • Cost Difference of Epoxy There is little cost difference between standard cast iron and NewAge’s premier epoxy coated cast iron System. NewAge Epoxy adds tremendous value for your Clients. 10 Year Warranty!! NewAge epoxy coating protects the entire system for the Life of the Building.
