    2. 2. American Expeditionary Force (AEF) • The American army was the AEF
    3. 3. First American troops were called doughboys

    5. 5. • Germany helped Vladimir Lenin to power in exchange for a peace treaty with Russia • Germany now had one less enemy to fight
