I am a qualified Art/Creative Director with over 21-years of visual communication design experience— 5-years in the Interactive industry, and another 16-years within corporate marketing and advertising agency field. In my previous role as Creative Director/Project Manager with Worldsites Network, I executed interactive & print creative projects. This included establishing the 'look & feel' of both front & back-ends of websites, as well as the design and execution of marketing and corporate websites, interactive and print design solutions for e-commerce clients. In this capacity, I hired and managed a team of 8 graphic designers and periodically supervised another team of 16 web developers and database programmers, while keeping an active list of freelance designers, web developers and copywriters. Other responsibilities included providing creative direction to global creative teams, determining infra- structure requirements, and providing design and hiring guidelines. I was involved with weekly meetings reviewing web reports/analysis, and discussing appropriate search engine strategies. I provided and reviewed weekly status reports on ongoing projects. My responsibilities involve providing support to the Creative Director, as well as leading and creating effective and integrated creative design solutions that adhere to divisional and print design corporate branding strategies. Over several years, I managed the concept, design and layout stages of the 400-page annual Canadian Tire retail catalogue. I was also part of a team that managed integration of approved creative across various initiatives, including specialty and seasonal flyer campaigns, identity departmental retail catalogues, the corporate website, photography, store signage, and POP (point of purchase). photography My strengths lie in the ability to set up, manage and run effective multimedia design teams.
