    I have made a power point with 29 slides. I also have a piece of audio narration which fits each of the slides. I used Wavepad to add a piece of downloaded music to each end so that there is something behind the start and finish text slides. There is also a video clip (30secs) which fits in between 2 specific slides. I used Producer to synchronize it all into one but I didn't use capture. I slotted each piece into the timeline, used that to line each slide up with the imported audio narration and slotted the video clip in. (did this about 20 - 30 times to get it right. then I clicked synchronize and previewed it, clicked finish and then clicked publish. I sent it to the desktop and it arrived as several folders and icons. this is all in one file. I don't know how to open it to play it all as one. I can only get the narration and the video clip but not the slides.

    This is an assignment for a unit in Multimedia for Uni and it is nearly 3 wks overdue. I have had some other issues as well and luckily my lecturer has been understanding. I am at my wits end and have spent many nights up until early hrs and getting nowhere fast. What am I doing wrong? I tried to do it again via your instructions but when I click capture the only radio button choice is slide images-all others are grayed.

    • Getting Started
      • Create a folder on your flashdrive for your work
      • Producer creates its own directory upon export.
      • Store all content: Slides, audio, video all in this folder.
      • We will copy the material on your disks to your flashdrive to create a product like this: SAMPLE
    • Create Material
      • Open PowerPoint.
      • Open slideshow “What is A Keystone” from your disk.
      • Complete the slides
        • Apply design scheme
        • Add Text
        • Add Animation
      • Save on your flashdrive
      You have 10 minutes
    • Preview Video
      • Look at the video clips on your disk.
      • Choose 1 or 2 to copy to your folder.
      • You may or may not want the audio that goes with.
      • You can use movie maker to delete audio.
      • I will demonstrate this now OR you can work on your own.
      You have 15 minutes
    • Putting the pieces together Now that you have video and slides in your folder it is time to put the pieces together
    • Launch the wizard
    • Choose the layout
    • Choose color and font
    • Add Presentation Information There are more steps, but I usually finish the wizard here and do the rest through the program.
    • Choose Media tab
    • Import Options
      • Import Slides
      • Import Video
      • Import Audio
      • Import HTML
    • Wait for Slide Import
    • When the Import is Complete Picture here of drag & DropSlides on timeline
    • Import Video
      • Edit using MS movie maker
      • Can mute in producer
    • Delete the Standard Audio 2 1 Click to select Edit, delete
    • Recording your own Narration
      • Click “capture”
      • Wait a beat
      • Start recording
    • The Capture Wizard
      • This is a simple way to record over your video / slides
      • NOTE: You can also import Pre-recorded audio: music or voice
    • Compression Settings Choose the Media Player your students use
    • Check Microphone Levels Your microphone must be working properly!
    • Ready to record.
      • Click “capture”
      • Wait a beat
      • Start recording
    • Finish the Clip
      • Finish your last sentence
      • Wait a beat
      • Click “stop”
    • Save or Start Over
      • You can change the name of the file
      • BE SURE to select the correct save location: YOUR FOLDER
      • Save
      • If you need to repeat, cancel and record again
    • On Subsequent Slides
      • You will see this pop-up
      • Click “ok” and disregard
      • We will add the audio manually to the timeline
    • Finish Recording Each Slide
      • As you complete each audio capture you will see more clips in the box
      • Click “Media” to see your sound files
      • Make the sounds match the slide numbers
    • Synchronize First Slide to Sound
      • Click and drag to adjust
      • Slide length should match audio clip length
      • Zoom in to see better
    • Drag Remaining Sounds to Audio Track
      • Place each sound clip immediately after the previous clip
      • Adjust the slide length to match
      • Work through all the clips and slides
    • Stop and Save Project
    • Publishing the Completed Project
      • Save project
      • Then “publish presentation”
      • This creates the set of files that index and play presentation through a browser and Windows Media Player
    • Save Location
      • Choose “My Computer”
      • Your network admin may help you with alternative locations
    • Browse to Location
      • Many files will be generated by “publish”
      • It helps to put them in a special folder
      • Choose YOUR FOLDER
    • Verify List of Files
      • We always skip this screen
      • Click “next”
    • Rendering the Files
      • Wait for the files to be created
      • This may take a bit!
    • Test the Product
      • You may view the finished product in your browser
      • Firefox is not supported
    • A Peek at the Files Generated
      • You will have a lot of files!
      • Audio
      • Slides
      • Other files
      • If you are placing on the web you MUST move ALL files
