  2. 2. The Land and Climate<br />Summers are long and hot ,while winters are are short and mild. Much of the state is made up of high, flat, and treeless plains for farming and ranching. <br />Two air masses meet in Oklahoma producing some crazy weather.<br />
  3. 3. Resources and Industry<br />Oil is the most important resource in Oklahoma so they have a lot of it.<br />Products like natural gas and coal come from Oklahoma’s rich ground. These resources help peoples cars and heat their homes.<br />
  4. 4. Historical People, Events and Landmarks<br />The State Fair is the largest annual event of its kind in Oklahoma city. Jim Thorpe was a baseball player football player, and a gold medalist.<br />Mickey Mantle was a hall of fame baseball player for the New York Yankees.<br />
  5. 5. Famous sites<br />Oklahoma’s highest point is Black Mesa. There is a giant oil field worker and it is 76 feet tall.<br />The Oklahoma City National Memorial honors those lost in the 1995 explosion.<br />
  6. 6. Important Cities<br />If you go to Pawnee you can go to the wild west show its like a history lesson. Guymon is a great place to because they have parades, they dance and have a rodeo.<br />Oklahoma City is a good place to go because it is where the state fair is in Oklahoma.<br />
  7. 7. WOW Facts<br />In Bullnanza Oklahoma 50 bull riders go against the most bucking bulls in the pro rodeo the stake is $100.000 <br />Oklahoma is the only state that produces iodine a mineral used In both medicine and photography.<br />
