Characteristics <ul><li>Transport infrastructures </li></ul><ul><ul><li>In China, large-scale transport infrastructure construction is at an early stage, the software and the hardware of ITS can be integrated simultaneously. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Some necessary conditions of ITS deployment are not mature. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Research foundation </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The accumulations of ITS research achievements are not enough. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>It is necessary to absorb all of the experiences from overseas and incorporate the situations of China. </li></ul></ul>

Characteristics <ul><li>ITS deployment environment </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The travelers violate traffic regulations frequently. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Therefore, the effects of the ITS deployments in China is not so satisfactory as in the developed countries </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>But in China, the target of ITS research and deployments is not only to enhance the traffic capacity but also to regulate the behaviors of travelers. </li></ul></ul>
