  • 2. INTRODUCTION Bandipur National Park is a wonderful destination which thousands of flora and fauna in the wonderful forest and is truly mesmerizing experience in it self.A great vacation spot away from the pressure of city life.

    • BANDIPUR NATIONAL PARK situated in Mysore, Karnataka
    • National park’s total area is -874 sq kms
    • Altitude-between 680 meters-1454meters
    • Near to Northern edge of Nilagiri Foot Hills
  • 4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
    • In 1931,Mysore Maharaja was made the Bandipur Natinal Park
    • In 1931,the total area was 90sqr kms. But now the total area is 800sqr kms
    • The first name was VENUGOPALA WILDLIFE PARK
    • The name BNP given by the Gopalswamy Betta,in 1973.
